A few days CNN reported that police and social services had removed over 219 women and children from a polygamist compound, in Eldorado, Texas. After a 16 year old girl called police and reported sexual and physical abuse, from a 50 year old man whom she was forced to marry; which caused the police to raid the 1,900 acre ranch.
For those who may not know, polygamist is when a man is married to more that one spouse, which is illegal in some states and countries.
Today it was revealed that more that over 410 children was taken from the ranch and placed under legal custody of the state of Texas. There is currently a man hunt for the 50 year old man, who was identified as Dale Evans Barlow, who was previously sentenced to jail for conspiracy to commit sexual conduct with a minor and for failing to register as a sex offender after three years probation.
The police have also stated that they are unsure if they have obtained the 16 year old girl who contacted authorities.
