John McCain Finally Attempts To Distance Himself From George W. Bush

I personally think that it was a good idea that McCain said that to Obama, but I believe that it is just a little to late for that, mainly because John McCain should have done that from the first time Barack Obama compared him to President George W. Bush.

Barack and McCain Square Off For The Final Time

As many of you know (unless you have been living under a rock) Barack Obama and John McCain had their third and final presidential debate tonight; at Hofstra University (located in Hempstead New York). As I watched the 90 minute debate between the two presidential candidates, I must say that John McCain did a better job than he did during the last two debates. However, I think Obama was kind of slacking off a bit, for example when he was given the opportunity to criticize Sarah Palin he did not take it. What stood out to me the most was when Senator McCain confronted Senator Obama about comparing him to bush by saying: “I am not President Bush, if you wanted to run against President Bush, you should have run 4 years ago.”

Barack had responded to his comment by saying: “If I’ve occasionally mistaken your policies for George Bush’s policies, it’s because on the core economic issues that matter to the American people on tax policy, on energy policy, on spending priorities; you have been a vigorous supporter of President Bush.”

In my opinion I believe that both candidates did a decent job, but I do not think either candidates won the debate tonight; mainly because I think that they were somewhat saying the same things that they had said before. Another thing that I must point out is that the moderator, Bob Schieffer had done a much better job than the previous moderators, because he asked the candidates some very good questions and he was able to get them to interact with one another, similar to the first presidential moderator, Jim Lehrer.

Madonna and Guy The Divorce Is Official, But Who Is Getting What And Who Is To Blame

Power couple Madonna and Guy Ritchie have announced that they are filling for divorce (as if we did not see this coming already). According to E.T. (Entertainment Tonight), Madonna’s rep had confirmed to them that the two former lovers are getting a divorce. Now the big question that everyone wants to know is who is getting custody of their children (which would most likely go to Madonna) and how much money will Guy receive from Madonna massive 600 million fortune.

Speculation about the couple having hard times started a few months ago  when  Madonna and Guy were photographed grimly leaving a Kaballah counselor’s (marriage I assume) and when Madonna was the alleged reason behind baseball player, Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez’s bitter divorce.

David Cook Wins American Idol

David Cook is the winner of the 2008 American Idol after winning by over 12 million votes and surpassing his main competition, David Archuleta. I personally thought it was Archuleta was gonna win, but it seems that I was wrong; but anyway Congratulations David Cook.

We all remember David Cook the bartender, who auditioned for Idol after he came to support his brother, who did not make pass the audition; well it seems that he had lady—idol luck on his side, because he rose from thousands of hopefuls to become an AMERICAN IDOL.

Breaking News: Over 410 Children Rescued From A Polygamist Compound

A few days CNN reported that police and social services had removed over 219 women and children from a polygamist compound, in Eldorado, Texas. After a 16 year old girl called police and reported sexual and physical abuse, from a 50 year old man whom she was forced to marry; which caused the police to raid the 1,900 acre ranch.

For those who may not know, polygamist is when a man is married to more that one spouse, which is illegal in some states and countries.

Today it was revealed that more that over 410 children was taken from the ranch and placed under legal custody of the state of Texas. There is currently a man hunt for the 50 year old man, who was identified as Dale Evans Barlow, who was previously sentenced to jail for conspiracy to commit sexual conduct with a minor and for failing to register as a sex offender after three years probation.

The police have also stated that they are unsure if they have obtained the 16 year old girl who contacted authorities.

The Full Review of The 2008 Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards

As we all know, the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards premiered on March 29, 2008 at 8pm sharp. Well I sat and watched the whole 1 hour and 30 minute award show, with my little brother and I must say that I give it a B-

To start things off the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards was hosted by comedian and actor Jack Black, who in my opinion did a bad job; he was trying so hard to be funny that you could actually hear the silence of the audience, when he made some not so funny jokes. Another thing that I disliked was the way that the celebrity presenters also tried so hard to be funny, like come on, the writers of the show couldn’t write them some better lines. I literally had to mute my television, when they started talking.

The first performance of the night was by the Naked Brothers Band, I honestly didn’t know that they really were performers, with an album coming out. I thought it was just for their t.v. boy did I feel stupid. Miley Cyrus and OMG (Oh My God) I really thought she sucked, her voice was cracking (especially when she tried to hit those “high notes”) and she also sounded like she was out of breath throughout her song, (maybe her dad should of told her that she is not talented enough to sing and perform at the same time).

What I did find funny was the look of Usher’s face when the announcer guy singled him out for texting on his phone, during the show. Also did you see Drake Bell? omg, he looked a hot mess, he really took promoting a movie to the next level.

The show finally ended with the slimming of both Jack Black and Orlando Bloom. Overall the Nick Choice Awards was alright, it was not something to wow about, but I’m sure the ratings made up for that.

Song Of The Week (Week 11)

This week’s song is entitled Touch My Body, by pop singer Mariah Carey. I must honestly say that I really loooove this song; this is the first single released off of Mariah’s upcoming album E=MC2. What I like about this song is that it is catchy and makes you fall in love with it after you hear it for the first time; in this song Mariah Carey does not hit her signature high notes, which she is well known for doing in so many of her songs (which is actually a good thing because it was kind of getting old), instead Mariah Carey demonstrates her voice and the potential it has without those extreme high notes.

Britney Spears’ Television Series Performance Was Actually….Good

In recent news Britney Spears, the train wreck who is trying to redeem herself, made guest appearance on the Monday night television show How I Met Your Mother. Spears played Abby, who is kind a receptionist with a huge crush on Ted, who is played by actor Josh Radnor.

At first I was expecting Britney to screw up and say the wrong line or fall on her ass, but surprisingly she gave a good performance; it wasn’t an Oscar winning performance but it was pretty good.

Does this mean that Britney is finally taking her career and her life seriously? You be the judge and see for yourself.

Upcoming Artist (Kandy)

This week’s upcoming singer is Kandy, who was recently signed to Decaydance Records. According to this Artist’s Myspace she is currently working on her album, which is said to be entitled Kandy With A K (quite original if I must say lol) and has already written her first single Bubble Gum Pop, with the helped of noted songwriter Jonathan Rotem.
